yesterday's experiment follow-up

follow up on wat i posted yesterday. here is the result of the experiment:
In test-tube A with the dilute HCl:
the paper clip is only starting to react with the acid.
Observation:
effervescence is observed, a gas is produced.

In test-tube B with the dilute NaClO:

Nothing happened. in fact the paper clip became even cleaner...

Observation:

no observable change

In set-up C with the paper clip suspended above a mixture of HCl and NaClO:

firstly, the mixture changed from blue to green. and eww the paper clip literally rusted. theres a disgusting change in its appearance. imagine wat it can do to ur skin...

Observation:

the paper clip reacted with a gas produced between the reaction of HCl and NaClO to form a new substance (partially). the gas produced is able to dissolve/react with the mixture to form a green mixture.

Now comparing the 3 paper clips in the 3 set-ups:

Conclusion:
1. The paper clip changed chemically due to the reaction between the paper clip and a gas.
2. Chlorine is cool
3. Im pro
