"When a person is madly in love, he starts acting stupidly. Why is this so?" - Random quote of the day?
Now I'm going to blame myself for talking about little homework at the start of the year. Because a sudden pile of homework just came in. Just like that. Doing too little homework makes you bored, doing too much makes you emo.
And when people are emo they tend to do a lot of different things ;P
Including daoing a few pieces of homework and 'all-in' on the bet of copying from another peep who has done his work the next day. I shall do that. The only problem is people are too lazy at the start of the morning, and I would probably half-die again after PE, so unhopefully I can't finish copying..so sad. I shall choose between punishment between maths teacher and IHE teacher.
WHY IS EVERYONE'S BLOG SO DEAD?!
Now people even stopped bothering to blog, how much worse can the world become?
I shall sleep.
And tomorrow do something random like getting spastic over chem.
Wow I even daoed the thick chemistry book I borrowed from the library. How ironic.

busy
Finally I stopped posting on a Friday night.
Good thing is, I do not need to wake up so early today, because I managed to find some peeps to go for the CIP instead of me. That's why I woke up like 12.30 pm with dad screaming at me.
Suddenly had a massive spammage of homework. 3 maths, 1 bio, 1 english, 1 chinese, 1 IHE. So altogether 7. Although I'm already planning as to how I should avoid doing some of them and find a method to escape the punishments. Sighz I'm getting very lazy these few days.
By the way, I just sold one quarter of my soul to maplestory private server, again. Yesterday evening spent the whole time finding (successfully) a good private server to play with, and entertained myself until 1.30 am. o.0 expecting the shocked looks from people.
But don't worry, I will not easily give up my entire soul to maplestory anyways, because it sucks. The whole reason why I play it is because:
1. It has nice visual effects.
2. It has nicer background music.
3. The nicest thing that would ever happen is to see stupid level 200 noobs getting pwned by pink been, over and over again. Even more stupid for posting the videos on youtube so that everyone can laugh at them. (or is it just me.)

funny things always happen
I just realised for the past few days fun events always happen to me. Although just a minor incident that won't last more than 5 minutes, it's still fun. Like what happened during Chinese lesson.
So for today, I had English lesson as the last two periods, and my classmates were presenting on their powerpoint on Crime and Punishment. Well my group has already presented yesterday, so today it's more of a show for our group and timekeeping exercise for me (because I'm timekeeping haha)
Anyway, because I skipped lunch to finish my physics and hand it in to the teacher (who commented that I was going to be late for lesson) As a matter of fact I was late, but because this year all my teachers so nice so my English teacher (aka Laguna as my nickname for her) did not scold me. Yay.
So although the presentation was an enjoyment, I was dam hungry (btw I manage to take 2 packets of waffles from Mrs Sow). Throughout the two periods I was finding an opportunity to eat that two packets waffles without being discovered.
The first time the waffles was in my mouth when Laguna turned around, was quite obvious with something sticking out from the inside of my mouth, but she didn't say anything.
The second time I was literally having the waffle halfway in my mouth when she turned around. We stared at each other for like 3 seconds, then she pointed to her watch and asked for the time that I kept. LOL. Wei Xiang and Bryan (aka lion) are laughing like lolz.
Most likely tomorrow I would have another funny incident with the Chinese teacher. Like me eating cookies in her face? Who knows ;P

lolz
Today had another similarly lolzed day during Chinese, which is after IHC which is after chem practical.
So anyways, my Chinese teacher gave us some work to do and went to the toilet. Immediately, I took out my whole box of biscuits and start eating. Actually I did not even finish one when she returned. Then after she returned, I instantly stuff that one third piece of biscuit under my table and pretend to be innocently doing my homework. Was too scared to finish eating it because it's so crunchy and the class was so quiet, if I even bite a bit the crispy sound would fill the whole class.
However, managed to stuff it into my mouth when the teacher's back was turned and let my saliva soften it before I start chewing, no other alternative too bad. When I finished with that one biscuit which started all the trouble, I was licking the inside of my mouth when the Chinese teacher saw me doing it (the biscuit is already in my stomach by the way)
*
teacher: 范轶,嘴巴张开来,啊……
me: 啊……
teacher: (see nothing inside as I've already swallowed it like two minutes ago) 噢没什么。
me: (laughing my head off, together with classmates sitting around me.)

sleep
I just finished all my work that is due tomorrow, and feel dam tired.
And I didn't even shower yet. The moment I reached home I sat down and started with my Chinese compo. Argh..
In the end asked dad to type out my Chinese 应用文 for me, cause my Chinese teacher wants to use my 应用文 as model compo. Haha.
*
Teacher: 你把你的应用文打出来发给我。
Me: 哈???(dam hysterical cause I was convinced that was my worst compo ever in my year in HCI)
Teacher: (looks mildly surprised) 对
Me: 我以为这是我做的最差的应用文……(received the compo and got an 16/20 LOL)
Teacher: 的确有一些地方不足……
Me: (minus one mark from 错字, so by right should be 17/20 right? right?) ACT CUTE
Teacher: (epic lolz at seeing me act cute)

obsession with food
I just had my dinner. Yeah I know my dinner time seems to be super late according to some (or most) people.
I'm being obsessed with this specific type of food recently, which you most likely can guess from my 17 random facts: stewed cucumbers with meatballs.
Although I don't get why I'm so obsessed with this particular type of food, most likely is because it tastes good and I don't mind eating it for a long time. As a matter of fact I've been having it for lunch / dinner for the past 5 days I think. Yeah that's a amazing figure, I agree, but too bad I'm not fed up with eating it yet, so probably I would have that for dinner tomorrow as well. Boo.
I have decided, that my first dish to learn to cook will be this one. Although I already most of the procedures, but then still need to learn from my mom the divine cook right? So anyways, maybe I would start this weekend.
Going on to what happened at school today, I had P.E. lesson for the first 2 periods. Ran 2.4 km as practice and (supposedly) did 60 push-ups and sit-ups. But in reality for the set of push-ups it's more of 20+15+10. While for sit-ups is 1x+1x+11, where x is a number ranging from 5 to 9. Cannot do so many leh, by the second of sit-ups my stomach is starting to hurt, and by the end of the third round I feel self-assured that tomorrow when I wake up I would have mass body aches all over. Now my sides are already hurting, and my right leg cramped, oh joy.
After P.E. lesson was so tired that I felt sick. For me, over exercise creates nausea, so throughout the 2 periods of CSC I literally sank onto my table and semi-slept for 1 period. Sorry to the teacher teaching, but cannot help it I feel like vomiting.
After CSC is chem, which I'm extra extreme hyperactive. Maybe for me it's like: over exercise -> gets tired and sick -> regen for 30 minutes -> hyperactive/aroused.
So I was like babbling like an idiot during chem, ok more idiotically than the usual chem lessons.
TSUNANCY (aka Nami) finally returned from KL from her course and is continuing IHC lesson again. Cheer cheer cheer. So I offered her my last biscuit during lesson. And while talking she was like licking her fingers with the biscuit in her mouth and saying "so delicious". Lol it was funny.
Today is very free, because I finished my newly given chem homework during chem lesson. So although amy was like "fanyi wants more chem homework so I'm giving you today." I still don't feel sufficient. Lol me the chem sadomasochist who wants more chem homework. Is starting on electrolysis today, boring topic. Never mind I shall mug for it.

the secret paradox
I was chatting with some friends on MSN, when I suddenly have this idea of a 'secret paradox' appearing in mind. After a few minutes of reconsidering I think it is worth filling up the gap for today's blog post.
Firstly, what is the secret paradox? It's basically a paradox of the mind, in which a person who has a secret would want to share it to at least one other person he or she trusts. And then the other person would feel like sharing the same secret with another person he or she trusts. So literally it's like spreading viruses around, with every one more person knowing the secret, the more probable of the whole secret being revealed somewhere along the chain. I suppose most of the people are something like that: A very big secret sometimes get too heavy for one person to hold. That's why he or she get very uncomfortable when he or she has a secret, so 'friends' come into mind immediately.
I would find it rather stupid for them to let the cat out of the bag in the first place, but then the feeling of burden is indeed very heavy and suffocating, so I suppose people always need another person to share that burden with.
Now going back to the paradox, when one tells another a secret as a intention of sharing the burden, he or she also unintentionally foretold his certain future doom, because secrets are almost impossible to hide away, especially when there are more than one person who know about it. On the other hand, a person with a gigantic secret would not bear with it for long.
Well of course it's not a propaganda to encourage everyone to share their secrets around and wreck the whole world, because secrets exist for a reason: to prevent possible harm done to others when they are being revealed.
I have a lot of secrets within me. Lots and lots of them. Although most of them are so trivial that I might as well tell the whole world about it. But anyway, I record the important ones down, while the unimportant ones are left in the brain to get oxidised.
Now, the most stupid thing in the whole world is to write down your secrets on a piece of paper and then everyone would be dying to read it. Thus came in the usage of my own codes, although 'hackers' are already growing in number in my class...
Sometimes for me, important secrets also get out of hand easily, so I still need another scapegoat to share it with. Recently I just leaked away some of my secrets to a (surprisingly to most people) very trusted friend. Sorry I cannot tell you who otherwise there will be people swarming to him/her. (I can't even reveal the gender omg.)
Anyway thanks my dear most trusted friend, for listening to my secrets and thoughts and feelings, should treat you cookies next time ;P

weekends
I usually disliked waking up so early, especially to go all the way from Clementi to Bedok for CIP. It's like at least 40 minutes on the MRT, and because it's in the morning when everyone is going to work there's absolutely no way I can sit down and doze. And standing up doesn't help much with my sleepy soul early in the morning, although it does keep me awake. But there is one occasion in which I dozed off while standing on the bus, but that is because there's something supporting my back so I wouldn't fall backwards...
The main reason why I still chose to go is because the new PRC members are going there for the first time, so I need to lead the way. But never mind, I took plenty of photos along the way, so soon there will be a ppt coming up and then everyone will know how to go there.
Anyways this morning's CIP was fun in my opinion, because there are more than expected number of people of my EP3 who went there, apart from 2 JC seniors who are there as well. So in the end it was like 6 students vs 5 elderly. LOL.
Then after that randomly walked around the neighbourhood while waiting for my PRC juniors (actually by age I think they should be the same as mine..) top up their EZ-link card. As Chinese New Year is approaching, there are many temporary tents being built with vendors selling all sorts of things.
Dozed off on the MRT on the way home, despite me blasting "Paparazzi" into my ears during that time I was dozing off. Reached home and began doing homework. Maths was simple, I semi-daoed English and is still doing IHE, at least I managed to finish the Chinese work the day before.
5.30pm is swimming time for me! Suddenly feel like swimming after weeks of absence from the swimming pool. Maybe because I see my stomach slightly growing outwards or something and decided to start swimming again. I feel the good thing about swimming is that you don't feel hot and sweaty, like most sports will make you feel. Neither do you need to hydrate yourself (in my opinion), because water simply diffuse into your body lol.
Do homework, do homework....later then start editing my warcraft map again.

dao
I have repeated many times in my blog already and I shall repeat it again: I do not make any quality posts on my blog on a Friday.
It's actually more like telling myself that instead of telling any other people who visited my blog, which I feel or think is preciously little. But compared to people's blogs which are made private, I think this blog is at least more 'seen' than those kind of blogs.
I just realised one thing while talking to some friends some time ago, that during most conversations I had, I almost never talk about myself. It seems strange how we can talk about so much things for such a long time, and yet I never reveal anything about myself apart from those that they already know from the way I display them. So some things which are a bit personal are not at all revealed or found out. For example, some of my classmates are mildly surprised that I actually have a blog. (Two blogs to be exact) Maybe it's because I never tell them that I have.
Well, so I find it of no point to give a mass propaganda about my blog because I also realised that among all of my friends, most of them are not interested in blogs. Oh bother why can't I have a friend who blogs just as much as me? Never mind I'm not complaining about this, it's already very nice to have so many good friends already.
I shall disappear for the whole of tomorrow's morning because I would be going for CIP at Bedok, while taking photos along the way there so as to make a ppt to educate all the other EP3 members about how to go there, it's dam lame but someone has to do it.
Ironically, in the end with all the claims about not posting a decent post on a Friday, I did give somewhat a decent post. At least it's not some random crapping about how bored I am or a one liner with something like "Hi." or "Is playing DOTA." or something. So ya, see you tomorrow then.

murderer
I killed someone.
Ok not literally killed someone. Wait maybe I did. Anyways it happened in a dream, so whatever I do, the court can do nothing against me. ;)
The only thing is that it is quite strange that I actually became a murderer in my dream, even if it is only a dream. I remember I used to be the victim all the time, getting stabbed, shot, slashed, (luckily no incineration involved) ALL THE TIME. So it felt strange to kill a person, especially so gruesomely.
Basically it involves my other self standing beside me. And this man was standing somewhere in a room. And I just said "Go." to my other self and the next thing I know (or dreamt) was me walking out of the room (with my other self gone) with the man lying on the floor, blood EVERYWHERE, and massively mutilated.
Some of you may know (especially a special someone whom I sent an extremely long email to :P) that I (also) have this split personality. So in that dream it is that personality who is killing the person. Although it is still me who gave the commend of "Go." to him, sorry.
Apparently toku changed the url of his blog. Sighz cannot access it anymore. Would really like to read what he writes though, cuz friends must support each other wat.
I feel strange why am I so interested in toku recently. Cheerful and sunny? But I feel thamsy has that personality as well. Emo? I can always refer to myself. Really emo? Maybe.
Ok skip all the crappy reasoning. Most probably he is the first friend who is not a (ex)classmate or EP3 mate I've ever had. So being a selfish idiot, I wanted him to at least have a good impression of me. SO sad..
Lastly, here's a message for a special someone:
Btw there are only two people I know who has mastered my code (apart from myself). Weibo try harder, you can catch most of it already ;P. Oh, and don't tell the person referred in this note, please....I want it to be private until he/she figures out by him/herself.
Really emo? Maybe.

desperate?
I'm getting desperate. I think it just started around today. It's over a special issue. Personal to a certain extend. So sorry, cannot tell you anything much. I need to solve it as soon as possible, for the sake of someone.
I just realised today that I have this ability of grasping a person's personality quite easily, usually by conversation or by studying his behaviours and others. So now I can actually know a few people quite well, at least the second layer already. So you may be surprised at how much I seem to know about you.. haha.
Today had this ISYF which involves web lecture by a professor from USA. The whole lecture is divided into two parts, the sleeping part and the ask crap part.
The sleeping part involves him talking, and half of the SMTP cohort sleeping or dozing off. I was almost in dream land, twice some more, but was luckily woken up by (ironically) the professor, as the first time he talked which features the key word, "biology, chemistry and medicine" and my brain immediately snapped into function. Then after a while as he was no longer talking about chemistry anymore anyways, so my brain slowly fell asleep again. Then a while later he started talking about how the scientists, "invented a chemical compound known as chlorofluorocarbon which can damage the ozone layer..." and then my brain jolted awake once again. I'm getting way too sensitive on the word chemistry..
Finished today's homework, felt quite at ease, except don't seem to have much time for blogs and msn..but nevermind.
Looking forward to tomorrow's chemistry practical.
Btw. Toku, if you are reading this, cheer up (again). I know you are still emo today. Oh, and thanks for being my friend ;)

Small changes
So somehow my mind went completely blank, because there's really nothing to write about today. Especially events that happen in school, as it is very boring lessons.
But with a few small changes.
Firstly and most obviously, Keith and Daniel returned from bsc.
In my opinion, they have changed a bit in appearance. I suppose the personality will remain the same for years to come.

By referring to the picture of Keith given above. We can see (if you compare with his photo in Sec 3) that HE CHANGED HIS SPECS and HIS HAIRSTYLE IS SO COOL. Lol apologies for the outburst. Anyways that's the main change in appearance I can observe...oh and his shoe is also dam cool (cool in this sense refers to 'against the school rules'), and (in my opinion again) he has grown more handsome. Never mind.
Don't ask me why they all seem to have the (same) facial expression and somehow were standing at the same place. Ms Lin wants a mugshot of everyone in Sec 4 CSE, so they, being in school for the first day, are taking their mugshots. (I guess that's the only time they would stand so solemnly and let their photos be taken) So anyways, Daniel also changed his specs and his hairstyle (why does everyone change their hairstyle in Beijing...) and his face is less 'smooth'. You know what I mean by puberty. Btw his uniform is borrowed from another classmate. Lol still never buy Sec 4 uniform.
And after they returned, Keith brought me a present (ooh so happy) from BSC. The present is rather special I would say, because it involves Happy Tree Friends. (The show which I would now call 'show that heavily relies on butterfly effect to be entertaining') Anyways here's a photo of the present. It's just a wobblehead. Though I was half expecting the head to be detachable or some body parts that can be chopped off for bloody effects or something. It's from Happy Tree Friends after all..anyways thanks Keith and Daniel.

personality test
Strangely, I am feeling extremely bored right now. Maybe it's because of the amount of homework that I have is not that large compared to other classes, which puzzles me why. Maybe some of our common homework were all finished in class instead of bringing home.
So now literally randomly going to websites to kill time. Toku suggested mugging organic chem, which was a good idea, except that I don't have the materials...shall ask amy to give me notes tomorrow.
Just now was the longest "conversation" I've ever had with toku, on facebook, with me starting a random live feed and him being the one commenting. Feel sort of "touched" that there is/are people who cared, or at least pretended to care, I don't know.
Retook my personality test on facebook. The result was what I expected, with the most prominent change compared to last year in a drop in extraversion and a sharp increase in neuroticism. Well I know that since this year I've became VERY shy with people I am not familiar with. And I ALWAYS stay at home, partly because I don't find outings interesting...
Then the results also suggested my closest college major based on my personality, with biology sciences ranked first and chemistry ranked second. LOL it looks accurate in my opinion. Then it also suggested the country that I'm closest to based on my personality (again), which is philippines first and china second. So it shows that the test is at least accurate to a certain extent.
Yesterday published a long and emo post on my chinese blog about how I hate myself, which resulted in a long comment from flatworm (I should give you a different nickname) which sort of cheered me up. Let's hope that I can change a least abit.
Going downstairs to buy my lunch.

my sweet tooth
I remember I developed a love for sweet things in Sec 3. It was probably due to the fact that I always fall asleep during maths class that my mom decided to stuff chocolate into my bag to keep me awake during maths. Then even after I no longer falls asleep like in term 2 or 3, the chocolate in my bag remains to be refilled every morning, so somehow I fell in love with the sweet things. Also, as in term 1 of Sec3 I was too lazy to go to the canteen to buy food during recess, mom stuffed cookies or biscuits for my break as well, so that I don't starve, or in my own words "saving money".
So slowly but surely, my sweet tooth has been developed. Although the chocolate no longer finds itself in my bag, the cookies will appear everyday as long as I'm still in HCI (or maybe even after that), which sometimes lead to mass cookie-snatching contest. But of course that won't stop the cookies from coming into class.
Mom always say my tongue is a "price detector for food", as I only seem to enjoy food that cost more than their regular counterparts. Well it's not exactly my fault, but I'm trying to improve ok. Maybe it's because some brands of sweet food just tastes too "fake" or something.
Whenever my friends see me with a box of cookies in my hands, apart from the usual "give me", they sometimes will say "I'm sure you will get diabetes when you grow old", actually I started saying that first lol. Will I really get diabetes? Actually I don't care much as long as I don't grow fat..which never seems to be happening. So in the end I may be spamming sweet food as usual and pray that diabetes don't snag onto me.
Bought one bottle of glycerol on thursday, partly for use in my experiments. I was actually quite surprised that glycerol tastes so sweet, maybe it's because fat doesn't taste sweet to me and since glycerol comes from breakdown of fats (fats -> fatty acids + glycerol), so I didn't expect it to be sweet. As a matter of fact I couldn't imagine how fatty acids would taste like. Sour? One strange thing about glycerol (or glycerin if you like it better that way) is that when it first touches the tongue, it feels cool (like all liquids at room temperature), but then immediately after that it feels warm. I suppose is because it absorbs water (saliva) on the tongue and gives out heat in the process. I checked glycerol on wikipedia, and it says that as it is not carbohydrate in nature, it does not raise the blood sugar level, and it does not cause tooth decay. So in another words its like taking in sugar that does not cause diabetes no matter how much you take in. Yay that's a new way of feeding my sweet tooth.

sum up for the first week of school
As most of you would know, for most of hci's people, school only starts this week, so it would mean extra one week of holidays before that. But now since we are back in school, the nightmare usually starts.
Well, at least monday was light enough, as there's no lesson for the sake of all the firstdayofschoolmanagement matters. so first day is completely for slaking purposes, EXCEPT for the afternoon in which we (being the cses) are forced to go for the cse orientation. Although I sort of missed most of it due to me waiting to buy a set of sec 4 uniform before ANYTHING ELSE. But all in all the first day is always quite smooth.
What do I feel about the rest of the 4 days? As a matter of fact, I felt strangely nothing. There is a change in language teachers, with Mrs Yong being our English teacher and Mdm Wong being our Chinese teacher. Oh, and Ms Yap became our IHE (Geog) teacher. It was quite a surprise (since we were joking about how she would be our teacher again) since she was my form teacher for sec 1 and 2, so it was pleasant to have her for geog teacher again.
For me the first week is more of a getting used after the holidays week, and there are many new topics being taught. But I still find the work load manageable, with Physics, Maths and Chemistry work waiting to be done from today. So somehow myself abnormal after reading all the others' blog post/facebook message about how tiring the first week is that they want to commit suicide (jokingly?) I suppose I'm the type of person who feel uneasy when everyone is feeling differently from me, or maybe I feel that sec 4 should be a way busier year than last year. But it's only the first week of school! Shouldn't we start off lightly first, before the work load (esp Chinese since we are taking the Chinese O-Level) starts increasing exponentially. We will have to see.
Also, I suddenly decided to start off on my idea in sec 3 (which I did not carry out because I'm too lazy) to keep some sort of diary. It will not be a diary filled with personal stuff, because that is meant to be kept at home. It will be a diary with some random notes taken in class, or some drafts of poems/stories I may want to write. I know my writing ability sucks, so there is no point in making my work public or something, it will only be kept for those who can appreciate them without laughing at me (hopefully) or for myself to destroy when the time arises (when I give up completely). There will also be another part of records of everyday life written under the title "Butterfly Effect". (I wrote it in my code, which toku gave a sour face upon seeing)
Butterfly effect, I think I found that article on wikipedia when I was randomly searching for interesting chaos theories (I started with Murphey's Law cause it's funny). Anyways the definition for butterfly effect by wikipedia is: small differences in the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system. Which in another word would mean: A small change may result in a different outcome. Somehow I fell in love with the theory immediately, either it's because of the truth of the theory or because the name contains the word "butterfly". (Recently I'm in love with butterflies as well.) So anyway I made a more major part of my diary as a records for butterfly effect in my school life, written in a "what if" assumption manner. For example I would record down that I'm staying in the classroom at 7.08 am in the morning, then I would start with "what if I go for flag raising immediately" then I would list a chain of possibilities and events that may happen (it's quite astonishing sometimes to find something as small as a loose button lead to something as big as a trip to the teacher's office or something). So that will be my main written work in my diary.
And some special events that happen this week, we have high school councilor chairman polling today, between nick chuan and tim yap. But then in the end I taped off nick's name and wrote "Nancy Tay" on it and crossed that one. So it's considered as a void, but it is fun. Oh I am so not taking things seriously.
All in all, I consider first week "manageable", maybe even "easy". Let's wait for next week then, and in the mean time I would do my work.
