*blogger refuses to upload my youtube video*
Ok after watching my video (with my pronouncing Obertraun as Oberstraun), you should have an idea of what kind of place that is.
But in case you still don't get it, here's a photo.
Obertraun is all about taking things slowly and being one with nature. There's mountains and clouds and forests and water around you, and not a lot of people, and random animals such as horses.
And swan:
After wandering around in Obertraun we took a bus to a neighbouring town Hallstatt. Hallstatt is more crowded than Obertraun, with streets and many houses. Hallstatt still lies along the lake though.
From Hallstatt.
Souvenir shops.
A church.
Halfway it started raining and hailing ._. My first ever experience of hail.
The funny thing about weather in Europe is that rain comes randomly and goes randomly. From this photo you can see that clearly the left side is being subjected to heavier rain as compared to the right.
This is the town centre. Most towns have a central area where there's an area of land not occupied by any building, but solely for walking / gathering.
