Liar

We are often taught that lying is bad, because it shows a sense of mistrust, and also creates the effect such that every lie will require more lies in order to cover up.

However, this only applies when the person you are lying to will be around you for quite some time. AKA he / she is someone within your society circle.

And hence, lying to strangers in order to avoid being pwned and / or scammed and / or fall for their intentions is my decided way of dealing with issues.

The reason why I brought this up is because I felt that I have been too nice and agreeable to people around me, especially strangers. And hence, today I became the target of a certain religious group (which I will not name in case people say I'm a religionist or something) tries to bring me into their religion.

It starts off with an elderly lady calling me from behind. And after some time when I realised she's calling me it is mere politeness to turn around. And first she asked, "Are you from China?"

"uhhh yeah.."

Fatal reply. Or maybe not because she might just continue even if I said no.

"Which part of China were you from?"

"uhhh Nan Jing."

WTF I WAS BLOODY REVEALING MY PERSONAL PARTICULARS TO HER. WAT WAS I THINKING.

And so she starts talking about religion, and following me when I walked to prevent me from 'running away'. And then she gave me a card for contact purposes, and asked me for my name and family name.

And guess what, I told her.

I curse myself for being such a bloody idiot to reveal my particulars so easily to a stranger. My name and my family name. what in the fcking world was I thinking? Ironically I stood by my law that all human actions have at least one intention, and I fall right into her. Maybe it's because she's an elderly, and listening to her talk is out of respect.

And lastly, she even asked for my handphone number and email. LUCKILY for me, I managed to sort of trick her by saying that I will email her when I reach home, and thus allowed me to escape without stupidly revealing more about myself and my family.

And so, I have decided, that if I ever met a stranger outside, I will lie to him / her if he / she ever asked anything about myself and my believes.

And these shall be the answers to some common questions, I shall mug them and use them for all incidents from now on:

Stranger: "Hi, what's your name?"

Me: "uhhh 王四海."

Stranger: "Hi are you from (insert name of country here)?"

Me: "No."

Stranger: "Hi I am a member of the (insert name of religion)..."

Me: "Sorry I'm a believer of (insert name of any other religion)."

Some people may flame me for doing such 'immoral' things like faking your information. I don't care. I don't care because I'm not interested about anything a stranger will want to say to me. Seriously, I know what you are playing at, and I'm only being too polite to fall for it. So next time, I will lie to you as well, and you shut up and find another person. Btw, do I look like I want to learn or give a dam about learning Hebrew?
