Mushishi

Finally I decide to actually say something about this anime. It's one of the random anime I found when I was extremely bored. Due to the fact that I watched using PPS and thus the language is in chinese, I saw the title 《虫师》 so I was like "ok let's try this."
Turned out that the anime was quite nice, probably due to the fact that it's different from the normal anime that I used to watch.
Firstly, the anime has only one main character (Ginko), no supporting character (every episode there will be new characters), no character development, no romance, no fighting scene, no humour (maybe there is but I don't find it funny), no antagonist and no happy / bad ending.
People would probably go "wtf is this anime?!"
Basically it's about a man named Ginko, who is a mushishi (an expert in 'mushi', a type of special organism) and goes around the world to help people solve problems caused by mushi.
The plot for every episode would be: Ginko arrives at place X, something strange is happening at place X (eg people develop strange sickness), Ginko investigates into the illness, Ginko finds out it's causes by a mushi, Ginko solves the problem, Ginko leaves.
Which would be extremely boring for people hoping to see something exciting.
However I feel that the slow pace of the anime gives the kind of soothing feeling, especially when there's no fighting and no antagonist, the entire atmosphere is very calm, which is a great contrast to most of the anime that is at least action based.
Another random factor is because there are a lot of appear-once characters which are super cute. lol!
