Because certain people complain that my blog posts are too short and hard to comprehend (lol), I shall do a longer post this time. After all the purpose of a blog is to let people read it.
People in NS always ask me how's life outside. To be honest, life outside is equally boring and routine as life inside NS, except I don't do physical training all day long.
I used to have a job at Singapore Chinese Language Centre, though now I'm fired haha. Due to an influx of cheap foreign low-skilled labour, my presence is no longer needed there. Cus what I used to do at the centre was saikang stuff like print things photocopy things transfer files all those ie. low-skilled labour. Now the centre hired a number of PRC students to do these jobs instead (and pay them ridiculously low), so I'm no longer needed at that place. Although I would still be doing high-skilled labour such as translation for them.
So now I'm looking for alternate source of income, which I've already obtained through my teachers. My teacher in high school offered to hire me privately to help her organise files, while another teacher wanted me to give her child tuition. So I suppose that would allow me to have a steady source of income for the time being. Worse come to worse I would just ask my friend to help me find a job (she works at some employment agency).
Funny though, now my everyday life is revolved around money. It's unavoidable that my life has to go this way, cus university school fees are dam high, so I should at least earn my own living expenses before I go overseas.
My plan for uni would most likely be UK or US. Of course if NUS offers me a full scholarship or something I would consider also, but other than that preferably overseas, because I would need the experience. Then between UK and US, it would depend on whether the US unis would give me financial aid (and large extent of it also). Because at this point of time I don't really mind either the UK or US unis (since my choices are equally good), it all goes down to which uni would have the cheapest school fees.
Upon seeing my results, my parents have been bugging me to apply for law or medicine, though I've been turtling because I'm not interested in either..
I would most likely be applying to biochemistry or other related courses, but I'm still unsure what would I do in the future. Maybe I would suddenly become interested in some alien courses halfway or something.
With more and more guys going to NS, life has became very boring. Not that I dislike the girl outings, but guyyyyys :(
