sounds too sci-fi to me...but nevermind. within 24 hours year 2009 will be nothing but a memory, and i will be facing 2010 which can be considered as my final year in secondary school. ah so sad.
Finally i admitted to the fact that my blog is being left behind for too long, and any posts that i have posted for the past....dunno how long....is just a few sentences. but i dun feel like writing too much now (esp when going to sleep) and esp when tomorrow is new year's countdown, not today.
But then, just a summary as to what i did in the holidays.
the first month of the holidays was spent in china. not the bsc trip or anything hci related. went back to nan jing as a part of my annual vacation. but of course spent one month having lessons with the JC1 ppl in china, which would be the sec 4s here, since theres no sec 4 in china. so i spent my one month studying with them, met up with old frens from last year, the school where i studied in for my holidays again. most of them graduated to the high school section here. so it was that moment when i stepped into the classroom (everything seems new) then somebody, okay a girl to be exact, suddenly recognised me and said "you're here again?!" in a happy yet accusing tone. im always so popular haha.
also, during the one month of studying made many more frens, mostly the ppl around the seat i was sitting at, which is in my opinion the "golden seat", cuz first its at the back of the class, directly at my left is a physics/astronomy god, directly at my right is a maths god, beside the physics god is a even more godly chem god (ya i noe more godly than me i cant compare in another 100 years, imagine that level of godliness) but of course i became the temporary english god LOL. obvious.
apart from studying there, i also spent one day (which is actually a few hours to be exact) shopping for lab equipments. in the end got myself the most basic lab apparatus. im was thinking about getting a bunsen burner, but im sure the airport security wont allow. (during my return trip they even confiscated my scissors in my pencil case)
so just got beakers, filter funnel, filter paper, measuring cylinder, glass dropper, glass tube, glass rod, universal indicator paper, ya around there. oh and theres a flask which i dunno the name which is an air tight container. dunno wat i can put in actually.
thats about all for my vacation in china, cuz this years abit busy, my grandparents got a new house and moms busy with all the preparations. and as usual her frens all invite her to eat out.
back at singapore. the first few weeks were spent on unfinished maths holiday assignment which im sure the maths teacher wont remember to collect when term starts, and a maths ace he gave. after that spent most of the time editing my warcraft map with worldeditor, reading different manga (thats where i got the kiss scene scan from), watching anime. lately im writing a long story, still stoning at chapter 5. the main reason for writing is perhaps im too bored (with dota and warcraft maps), i wan to make wat im dreaming about appear on paper, and i wan to keep myself entertained. now theres temporarily 2 ppl (apart from myself) who has a copy of my story. one who is very excited about reading it (thanks jy) and one whom i dunno whether he has read it or not (knock knock).
and currently all my chem work has stopped, cuz i got so traumatized by another greater chem god i met, and seeing my noob equipments (which is the reason y i bought new ones) and chemicals (i cant bring them onto the plane so i didn bring anything back sobz), i decided to be dormant for sometime. but not after i finished crystallising my sodium carbonate/bicarbonate (it just keeps changing) left the liquid to dry and crystallise by itself. so now im quite free.
finished reading 2 books in the holidays as well. one is bell jar by sylvia plath and another is lovely bones by alice sebold. currently reading the man in the high castle by philip k. dick. shall finish soon.
school starts in 11 days. oh joy
